Thirty Minutes a Day. Twenty People. That's 210 Hours a Month.
Nobody in your company is going to tell you about this. There's no ticket for it, no complaint, no incident report.
They just wait. Then they get on with their day, and you never find out it happened.

Do the Math on Your Own Company
Most businesses we walk into are losing somewhere between 15 and 30 minutes per person, per day, to technology that's slow, broken, or annoying. Twenty-one working days in a month.
For a twenty-person company, that's 105 to 210 hours every month. Gone.
At $30 an hour loaded, that's roughly $3,100 to $6,300 a month — somewhere between $38,000 and $75,000 a year. Run it on your own headcount and your own hourly cost. Most owners do this on a napkin and go quiet for a second.
And thirty minutes is not the high end. One machine that takes fifteen minutes to boot burns thirty a day on its own, before that person opens a single file.
Where the Time Actually Goes
I'm Noah Yaghoubian. I've been walking into businesses in this valley since 2010, and this is what I find every time. None of it is dramatic. That's exactly why it never gets fixed.
| 1 | THE COMPUTER THAT TAKES 15 MINUTES TO BOOT | Your estimator turns it on, goes and gets coffee, comes back, and it's still thinking. Twice a day, every day. He's not going to file a ticket about it — he made peace with that machine two years ago and built his morning around it. |
| 2 | WAITING FOR FILES AND PROGRAMS TO OPEN | The big drawing takes ninety seconds. The accounting software hangs when three people are in it. The shared folder loads slowly every single time. Nobody times it, and it happens forty times a day across your company. |
| 3 | THE PRINTER THAT ONLY WORKS FROM TWO DESKS | So people walk. Or email the file to somebody who can print it. There's a workaround for it, everybody knows the workaround, and nobody has mentioned it to you in eleven months. |
| 4 | ENTERING THE SAME INFORMATION TWICE | Once in one system, again in another, because the two don't talk. Your office manager has accepted this as part of the job. It's an hour a day that shouldn't exist. |
| 5 | HUNTING FOR THE RIGHT VERSION OF A FILE | Four copies, three folders, two people who each have their own. The time isn't in the searching — it's in the phone call to figure out whose copy is current. |
| 6 | WAITING ON IT SUPPORT | They submitted a ticket Tuesday. It's Thursday. In the meantime they're working around it, or not working. And after that happens three times, they stop submitting tickets and just live with things. |
Why You've Never Heard About Any of This
Because none of it is worth complaining about on its own.
Nobody walks into the owner's office to report that their computer is slow. It feels petty. It sounds like whining. And they assume you already know, or that it costs too much to fix, or that this is just how it is here.
So they adapt. They start their computer before they take their coat off. They keep a personal copy of the file. They walk to the other printer. Every one of those adaptations is invisible, permanent, and paid for by you.
The failures you hear about are the cheap ones. The expensive ones are silent.
The Slow Computer Tax Report
We find out where your company's time is actually going. Not from a scan — from your people.
| 1 | WE ASK YOUR STAFF DIRECTLY | Short conversations with the people doing the work, not just the owner. What's slow, what's annoying, what they've stopped reporting. This is where almost all of it surfaces, because it's the first time anybody has asked. |
| 2 | WE MEASURE THE MACHINES | Boot times, memory pressure, storage health, and age on every computer. You find out which machines are genuinely failing, which just need a cheap upgrade, and which are fine despite the complaints. |
| 3 | WE LOOK AT WHAT SLOWS THE WORK ITSELF | File access, the network, printing, logins, and the places two systems don't talk so somebody types everything twice. Often the fix is a setting, not a purchase. |
| 4 | WE PUT HOURS AND DOLLARS ON IT | A written estimate of what the friction is costing you per month, based on your headcount and your loaded hourly cost. Your numbers, not an industry average. |
| 5 | YOU GET A RANKED PLAN | What to fix first for the fastest return, what's worth budgeting for next quarter, and what to leave alone. Some of it costs nothing. Some of it needs hardware, and we'll quote that with make, model, and real numbers. |
"Free. And you keep the findings whether you hire us or not."

The Part That Costs More Than the Hours
The wasted time is the easy number. These are the ones that don't show up on a spreadsheet.
| 1 | YOUR CUSTOMER IS WATCHING IT HAPPEN | Somebody is standing at your front desk while your receptionist apologizes to the screen. The check-in form won't load. The system is thinking. That customer isn't calculating your IT budget — they're deciding whether this place has its act together. It's the first thirty seconds of their experience with your company and you're losing it to a spinning cursor. |
| 2 | THE QUOTE THAT TAKES TWO DAYS INSTEAD OF ONE | The person who could have sent it Tuesday afternoon was waiting on a file, then the printer, then a system that hung. By the time it goes out Thursday, your competitor has already followed up. You'll never know you lost that job to a slow computer, because nobody records it that way. |
| 3 | YOUR BEST PEOPLE FEEL IT MOST | The person who works fastest is the one most frustrated by waiting. Slow tools irritate exactly the employees you can least afford to lose, every single day, for years. It rarely gets named as the reason somebody leaves — it comes out as "it just felt like nobody cared." |
| 4 | YOU CAN'T HIRE YOUR WAY AROUND IT | Bringing on another person to absorb the workload costs far more than fixing the systems that are eating a third of everyone's day. And the new hire inherits the same slow machine, so you've paid a salary to buy back a fraction of what you already had. |
| 5 | NEW HIRES LEARN THE WORKAROUNDS IN WEEK ONE | Somebody teaches them to email the file to Sharon because the printer doesn't work from that desk. The dysfunction gets handed down as company knowledge, becomes permanent, and quietly extends how long it takes anybody new to become productive. |
| 6 | PHONE CALLS AND MESSAGES GO UNANSWERED | Someone's on hold while your staff member searches for the right file. A voicemail sits because the person who'd handle it is waiting on a system. Every one of those is a customer forming an opinion about your responsiveness that has nothing to do with how much you care. |
| 7 | NOBODY REPORTS ANYTHING ANYMORE | The worst one. Once your staff decide reporting problems is pointless, you've lost your early warning system for everything — including the security issue somebody notices and doesn't mention. |
Free: The Slow Computer Tax Self-Check
You don't need us to start measuring this. Our free self-check walks your team through timing the things they wait on every day — boot times, file and program loading, printing, internet speed, phone and system delays, and the places somebody is entering the same information twice.
Twenty minutes, a stopwatch on a phone, and a worksheet that turns it into hours and dollars for your company. Run it yourself, and if the number bothers you, then call us.
Why Us
- We ask the people doing the work — Not just the owner, and not a survey. Most of what we find has never been reported to anybody.
- We tell you when the answer is cheap — Plenty of what we find is a setting, a driver, or a $60 upgrade. We're not going to recommend replacing twelve computers when four of them need memory.
- We spec hardware for the actual job — Real machines for the people running demanding software, sensible ones for everybody else. You shouldn't pay for a workstation your receptionist doesn't need, or hand a designer a laptop that can't keep up.
- Hardware as a Service, if you want it — Workstations bundled into a monthly rate instead of a capital purchase, refreshed on a schedule rather than after they die.
- We answer in 5 minutes — Which is how problems stop being invisible. When calling is fast and free, people actually call.
- Local since 2010 — 4.9 stars from 100+ Coachella Valley businesses.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is the report really free?
Yes. No cost, no contract, nothing to sign. You keep the findings and the estimate either way. We'll follow up afterward because we'd like to earn your business — if the answer is no, tell us and we'll stop.
How much of our time does it take?
A 15-minute call first so we understand your setup and can tell you honestly whether it's worth doing. If it is, plan on a few hours onsite — mostly short conversations with your staff while they keep working, plus checks on the machines. We don't need a conference room or a day of anybody's calendar.
Will you be interrupting my staff all day?
No. It's a few minutes each, at their desk, while they work. Most people are glad somebody finally asked. It's often the most useful part of the whole assessment, because they've been living with these problems longer than anyone.
Is this just a way to sell us new computers?
No, and we'll usually tell you the opposite. A lot of what slows machines down is memory, storage, background software, or a setting — fixes that cost very little. Where hardware genuinely needs replacing we'll say so with make, model, and a real number, and you can shop it if you want.
Where do those numbers come from?
Arithmetic, not a study. Fifteen to thirty minutes per person per day is the range we typically find, multiplied by your headcount and twenty-one working days. The point isn't our number — it's running it on yours. Our free self-check walks your team through measuring it themselves so you're working from real figures rather than an estimate.
We already have an IT company. Can we still do this?
Yes, and plenty of businesses that do this have one. It's a second opinion on one specific thing: whether your people are losing time to technology. If your provider has it handled you'll have confirmation. If not, hand them the report — we're not asking you to switch anything.
What if most of the problems aren't fixable?
That's rare. Most of what we find falls into three buckets: fix it today for free, fix it cheaply this month, or plan for it next quarter. Occasionally something is genuinely a business decision rather than a technical one, and we'll say that plainly rather than pretend otherwise.
What is Hardware as a Service?
Instead of buying computers outright, they're bundled into a predictable monthly rate. No large capital outlay, no aging machines sitting on your network because nobody budgeted to replace them, and refreshes happen on a planned schedule. For a lot of businesses it turns an unpredictable expense into a predictable one.
What areas do you serve?
Palm Desert, Palm Springs, Cathedral City, Rancho Mirage, La Quinta, Indio, Coachella, Thousand Palms, Desert Hot Springs, Blythe, and the surrounding Coachella Valley. Our office is at 73280 Hwy 111 Ste 102, Palm Desert.
How do we book it?
Book a 15-minute call at lazeritconsultants.com/discoverycall, or call 760-992-5562 and ask for Noah. Tell us roughly how many people you have and what's been frustrating them, and we'll schedule it.
Ask Your Staff One Question Today
You don't need us for this part. Walk out and ask somebody: "What's the most annoying thing about the computer you use every day?"
Then ask the next person. You'll hear about things you had no idea were happening, and most of them have been happening for years.
That's the whole assessment, just done properly, with the machines measured and the hours priced out. Fifteen minutes on the phone to start, a few hours onsite if it's worth doing, and a ranked plan at the end. No cost, no contract, and you keep the findings either way.
